PRE AND POST CARE ADVICE

• Heat, cold, sunlight, sunbeds, chlorine, chemicals, sweating, spicy food, alcohol for 24-48 hrs.

• Avoid AHA’s the night of treatment and active products for 3-5 days (retinol, glycolic).

• Do not pick at any peeling skin (Gommage 305 will help and Masque no.1).

• Do not rub, scrub, shave, wax or touch the area treated for 24 hrs (Gentle cleanse, Lotion, repair and protect).

• Do not have laser, microdermabrasion, botox or other advanced treatments (peels, fillers etc) for 2 weeks before and after.

• Do keep skin hydrated, nourished and protected with Spf 50.

• Do use Serum Vital/Elixir, Hydra No.1 Serum Creme, Nutri Defense, Boosters, Phyto’s.

• Do change pillow case and use freshly sanitised make-up applicators.

• Do drink plenty of filtered water, increase fruit and veg, Omegas, Vitamin C.

Dermaplaning

It’s a mechanical exfoliation that removes dead skin cells and enhances skin tone, reduces redness, improves cell function, reduces pigmentation & keeps the skin looking young & radiant!

Dermaplaning is known to be one of the most effective, dermatologist-backed treatments for efficiently handling some of the most annoying skin issues, like dullness, wrinkles, and breakouts.

It encourages cell turnover and promotes deeper product penetration, boosting the effects of skin care. It works to remove facial hair that can trap dirt, bacteria and oil.

Dermaplaning enhances the penetration of skincare products and improves the appearance of makeup. It is very safe and suitable for sensitive skin. Expect baby smooth skin, zero peach fuzz and brighter looking skin for up to 4 weeks afterwards. Facial hair will NOT grow back any thicker or faster than before! I generally combine dermaplaning with a derma peel to give maximum skin rejuvenation.

  • There is usually some redness but it generally goes away in a few hours
  • Skin may be a little dry so I recommend a soothing balm to hydrate it
  • After treatment SPF must be worn
  • Avoid the use of sunbeds
  • Excellent results are achieved with a course of dermaplaning followed
    by derma peel

  • Strenuous exercise should be avoided until all redness has subsided
  • Direct sunlight is to be completely avoided immediately following the treatment.
  • Spf must be applied daily to treated area.

Contraindications for derma planing must be disclosed prior to treatment:
